Your Microdermabrasion Facial, step by step

Consultation and skin check. We talk about your skin, your routine and anything recent, like retinoids, waxing or sun exposure.
Double cleanse. Your skin is cleansed twice so the treatment works evenly.
Microdermabrasion. A diamond tip glides across your skin with soft suction, adjusted for each area of your face. Most clients find it relaxing.
Extractions and mask. Extractions when your skin needs them, then a calming mask chosen for you.
Finish and glow. Serums, moisturizer and SPF, plus a simple home care plan.

Why fall and winter are microdermabrasion season in Colorado Springs

Dry air, furnace heat and strong sun at our altitude leave skin rough and dull by midwinter. Regular microdermabrasion clears that buildup so your moisturizer and serums can do their job, and your skin stays smooth and bright through the holidays and into spring.

Is microdermabrasion right for me?

Most skin types enjoy microdermabrasion when the settings are chosen carefully. I adjust the plan or the timing if you use prescription retinoids, have active rosacea flares or breakouts, recently had waxing or sun exposure, or are pregnant or nursing. That is exactly what the skin check is for.

Does microdermabrasion hurt?

No. Most clients find it relaxing. You feel light suction and a soft, sandy texture moving across your skin.

Can I go back to work the same day?

Yes. There is usually no downtime, so you can go right back to your day.

How many sessions will I need?

You will see a glow after your first visit. For smoother texture and brightness that last, a series of 3 spaced two to four weeks apart works best.

Is microdermabrasion good for sensitive skin?

It can be. I lower the suction and choose a finer diamond tip, and we go over your skin history first.

Can I get microdermabrasion and a peel in the same visit?

I plan them in separate visits so your skin can respond between each one. We choose the order together at your skin check.
