Chemical Peels in Colorado Springs
Smoother, brighter, more even skin, chosen for you in a private suite.
A chemical peel uses a professional exfoliating solution to lift away dull, uneven surface skin so fresher, more even skin can come through. Every chemical peel in Colorado Springs at Soluna Vee Spa starts with a look at your skin, your history and your goals, and then I choose the peel. Not the other way around.
I work with professional peel systems from IMAGE Skincare, Dermalogica and Skin Script, so I can match the strength and the acids to your skin instead of fitting your skin to one product. Light peels, brightening peels for pigment, and a two-session peel journey are all on the menu, and every peel is done one-on-one in my private suite inside Luxe Cosmetic Studios on Woodmen Road. Your first peel, step by step
-
Consultation and skin check. We talk about your skin, your routine and your timing, like retinoids, recent waxing or sun exposure.
-
Prep. Your skin is cleansed and prepped so the peel works evenly.
-
The peel. Applied in thin, even layers while I watch your skin the whole time. Most clients feel a warm tingle that fades quickly.
-
Calm and protect. Calming products, then mineral SPF.
-
Home care plan. You leave knowing exactly what to use for the next 7 days.
Why fall and winter are peel season in Colorado Springs
The sun is lower, you spend more time indoors, and your skin has a few months to renew before spring. That makes October through February the best time to start a peel series here. At our altitude, daily sun protection after a peel keeps your results bright, and winter makes that easier.
Aftercare that protects your results
What you do at home matters as much as the peel. Plan on gentle cleansing, a calming moisturizer, mineral SPF every day, and letting your skin renew on its own. I carry the Dermalogica Post-Procedure Kit for the first week after a peel, and every client goes home with written instructions.
Is a chemical peel right for me?
Most skin types can enjoy a peel when the peel is chosen carefully. I adjust the plan or the timing if you are pregnant or nursing, use prescription retinoids, have active rosacea flares, recently had waxing or sun exposure, or have a history of cold sores in the area. That is exactly what the consultation is for.
If your skin is sensitive or you have rosacea, we may start with calming facials first and build up to a peel. Read more in Chemical Peels and Dermaplaning for Rosacea.
Chemical peel questions
Will my face peel a lot?
Usually it is light flaking over a few days. Deeper peels peel more, and I tell you what to expect before we start.
Can I go back to work the next day?
After most light and medium peels, yes. Your skin may look a little pink or dry for a day or two.
How many peels will I need?
Light peels work best as a series, usually 3 to 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Pigment and melasma respond best to a series plus daily sun protection.
Do chemical peels work on darker skin tones?
Yes, when the peel is chosen carefully. I use peels made for pigment-prone skin and prepare your skin first, so it renews evenly and bright.
Can I get a peel and a facial in the same visit?
Many of my facials can include a light peel when your skin is ready. The Sol Facial often does.
